What is SFS?

Why use steel for the entirety of your structure?

This cold rolled steel system offers a structurally robust and dimensionally stable wall construction that can be used with a huge variety of external finishes, across many applications.

With shorter lead times, greater cost-effectiveness and less environmental impact, light gauge steel framing has become increasingly popular over traditional construction methods.

COST-EFFICIENT

Accurate to better than 1 mm, precise fit first time saves hours of on-site work. Material costs compare favourably to traditional methods while maintenance costs are much lower.

FLEXIBILITY

Light gauge steel systems can be used for new build structures, in-fills, extensions or bespoke projects. The system is ideal for housing developments to economically construct houses tailored to buyer options.

LOWER CARBON FOOTPRINT

Light gauge steel-framed houses can help significantly reduce carbon emissions. All design and production is carried out in-house with strict quality controls using original methods for faster lead times without sacrificing quality.

Uses

Infill

SFS allows for extremely quick install between floor levels of both concrete & hot rolled steel frames. This allows structure to be weatherproof for proceeding trades to come in sooner. The SFS panel can be put together off site to further reduce on site preliminary costs.

All Protec studs can have pre punched holes at chosen locations to give greater ease for the installation of first fix plumbing and electrics.

Oversail

Oversail system allows for external wall to be brought out of line from frame to suit building requirements, maximising usage of hot rolled steel or concrete fame.

Bespoke Projects

SFS can be used for a huge variety of works including soffitt support structures, garden structures and installation of new parapets to existing structures. Please see our photos for better understanding.

Structures

SFS can be used to construct whole structures using combination of stud walling and trusees. This includes full load bearing multistorey structures as well as new storeys on top of existing buildings.

For structure projects, Protec machines will produce framing components ready for onsite assembly, eliminating the need to manually cut components to size.
